Individual Therapy for Adults
A collaborative space for reflection and exploration.
Where We Begin
You may be looking to understand yourself and your experiences more clearly. Perhaps you are navigating a significant life transition, coping with stress, or noticing something in your life that needs attention. I offer a comfortable and confidential setting where we can begin to explore what brings you to therapy.
Working Together
Building trust and safety is the foundation of our therapeutic relationship. As we get to know each other, I consider your feedback in our sessions. This informs our approach, allowing us to make adjustments as needed.
Our work together is grounded in respect for both mind and body. Through compassionately exploring what is arising in the here-and-now, we can deepen awareness and connection with your inner experience. Over time, this can support moments of insight.
Each person’s circumstances are unique, and as we proceed, we work in a way that is meaningful for you. There is space to reflect on self-care and your resources, and to simply be with what is present. Through awareness, presence and compassion, this forms the ground of our work.

Therapy Approaches
My approach to therapy is integrative and individualised, incorporating elements of:
-
This approach integrates mindfulness with other psychotherapy models. It involves being present in the moment and paying attention to your thoughts, feelings, and bodily sensations without judgement as they arise.
This can support greater awareness, acceptance, and understanding of yourself. There is a recognition of our shared humanity and our interconnectedness with all of life.
I also draw on Focusing, a mindfulness-informed practice that involves tuning into the felt sense, allowing for a more nuanced and embodied exploration of inner experience.
-
We are all shaped by our early life experiences and relationships, which continue to influence how we see ourselves and our place in the world. Psychodynamic therapy is one of the approaches I draw upon in my work.
It recognises how our past impacts the present, and how thoughts, feelings, and behaviours are often shaped by unconscious processes.
Through this work, you can be supported in developing a deeper understanding of your internal world, your patterns, and your beliefs.
-
Humanistic therapy is a person-centred approach grounded in the belief that each individual has inherent value and worth.
Your experiences and perspectives are central to the therapeutic process. I work collaboratively with you, with respect for your autonomy and dignity. Together, we create a supportive environment that can help deepen your sense of awareness and personal agency.
GETTING STARTED
01
Enquiry
You are welcome to enquire about therapy via the contact form on my website. Please include a brief description of your enquiry. I respond within 48 hours on weekdays and will let you know whether I currently have availability for new bookings. Where appropriate, I may suggest a short phone call (10–15 minutes) to discuss what brings you to therapy and consider whether working together might be a good fit.
02
Assessment
If we decide to meet, our work begins with an assessment phase of two to three sessions (50 minutes each). These sessions are slightly more structured, offering space to explore what brings you here and learn how I work. Together, we build an overview of your personal history and current experience. This phase allows time to pause, reflect, and consider what support may be most helpful at this point.
03
Exploration
Once we have decided to work together beyond the assessment phase, our sessions become more open and exploratory. This is a collaborative process, shaped by what matters most to you and informed by your circumstances, needs, and capacity. The duration and pace of our work vary from person to person. When it feels right to pause or conclude therapy, we plan this with care and attention to the transition.
